Angelina Jolie can visit Syrian refugees who have fled violence, Turkey has said.
A foreign ministry spokesman confirmed the country had granted permission for the star - who is goodwill ambassador for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees - to visit after assessing an application submitted on her behalf.
He said Angelina might arrive in Turkey on Friday, but that the date remains uncertain.
In April, the Hollywood star travelled to Tunisia during its refugee crisis as thousands fled from its war-torn neighbour, Libya.
Turkey says more than 8,500 Syrians have fled to Turkey to escape a crackdown on an anti-government uprising.
