Ann Widdecombe foxtrots to safety on 'Strictly'

Monday November 15, 2010

In what's becoming a weekly occurrence on Strictly Come Dancing, Ann Widdecombe charmed the public once again to keep her safe from elimination on Saturday night’s show.

Being the least favourite among the judges - Craig Revel Horwood told her she looked “disoriented” - didn’t deter the audience from rallying around the 63-year-old former politician in her rendition of the Foxtrot.

Not so lucky was former Destiny’s Child singer, Michelle Williams, whose Spanish Pasodoble failed to impress both the judges and the public.

It appeared it was Michelle’s technique that was at fault - judge Bruno Tonioli told her: "It was the right energy but you lost it so many times."

Always the good sport the American singer said: "Of course I'm sad about leaving but I don't have to worry about being in the bottom two again."
