William and Kate's humanitarian Christmas

Thursday December 15, 2011

On their first Christmas together as man and wife, Prince William and Catherine will be showing their humanitarian side.

The couple will pay a visit to charity Centrepoint, who nurture homeless youths aged 16-25, on December 21.

William is patron of the organisation after being introduced by his late mother Princess Diana.

It's not the first time the heir to the throne has been immersed in the plight of the homeless.

In 2009 he spent a night sleeping rough on London's streets to raise awareness of the charity.
