Free seats to Jubilee procession to be made available

Monday April 16, 2012

The British government has announced a public ballot that will allow UK residents to apply for  prime seats to watch the Diamond Jubilee celebrations this summer.

The joyous events will kick off on the morning of June 5, with a service at St Paul's Cathedral.

There, the Queen and other members of the Royal Family will attend a thanksgiving service.

After a sumptuous lunch at Westminster Hall, the royals will then travel in a procession to Buckingham Palace where they will make an appearance on the balcony.

10,000 members of the public will get the opportunity to watch the day's events from seats around the Queen Victoria Memorial and outside Buckingham Palace.
