Lady Gaga pays tribute to 'Kate and Will'

Monday May 16, 2011

Not even an international star like Lady Gaga was immune to all the excitement surrounding the royal wedding.

Whilst headlining at Radio 1's Big Weekend, the pop sensation dedicated the track Orange Coloured Sky to the new Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, whom she called "Kate and Will".

"I was wishing I was at the royal wedding,” she said ahead of her rendition in Carlisle.

Playing a one-hour set, Lady Gaga fused songs from her new album Born This Way with some of her biggest hits, including Bad Romance and Just Dance.

Meanwhile, the 24-year-old has stormed Twitter by reaching the mammoth milestone of 10 million followers.

Gaga is now followed by almost 6% of overall Twitter users.

She was clearly overjoyed with the news, and told her fans: "10 Million Monsters! I'm speechless, we did it! It's an illness how I love you. Leaving London smiling."
