Elisabetta post-George: This is my 'happiest moment'

Friday September 16, 2011

Elisabetta Canalis has quickly recovered from the end of her romance with George Clooney.

The couple split up at the beginning of the summer after two years together.

Since then, the Italian model has been keeping busy with work commitments - and seems to be enjoying every minute of it.

Her most recent project involved stripping off for a new advert for animal rights group PETA.

Elisabetta looked elegant in a ruched dress while posing next to the naked shot of herself on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.

Talking about the campaign, Elisabetta said: “This is a thing which I personally believe and trust in, so nobody told me to do it.

"Since I was a little kid, I was against fur, I never wore fur in my life.”

She joins a long list of Hollywood celebrities who have bared all for PETA, including Charlize Theron and Pamela Anderson.

Elisabetta was joined at the launch by her Dancing With The Stars partner Val Chmerkovskiy, with whom she has been rehearsing every day ahead of the opening show on September 19th.

And the 33-year-old is in no way disheartened by the fact that George has moved on with new love Stacy Kiebler.

“I’m honest when I say, this is the happiest moment of my life," she said.

“Really, I’m joyful and I’m enjoying every day what’s happening to me. I can’t ask for anything more.”
