Reconciliation for Britney Spears' divorced parents

Tuesday November 16, 2010

Lynne and Jamie Spears, the parents of pop star Britney, have reconciled eight years after they divorced.

According to a source who spoke to People magazine, the couple are "back together and are doing well and happy".

On Saturday, Jamie and Lynne (pictured in 2004) were seen looking friendly at Los Angeles lounge Boudoir, where they cheered and danced around together as the DJ played Britney hits including Toxic and Gimme More.

"They were in a great mood," one onlooker said. "They were laughing together – dancing and laughing and totally having fun."

Lynne and Jamie's reconciliation is sure to come as welcome news to Britney.

When her parents first divorced in 2002 after 30-years of marriage, the mum-of-two described the split as "the best thing that's ever happened to my family."

"My mum and dad, bottom line, do not get along. When I was a baby, they argued," she said.

But with everything going so well for Britney, including her own romance with Jason Trawick, she will no doubt have had a change of heart.
