Andie MacDowell's girl named Miss Golden Globe

She's already been thrust into the media spotlight thanks to her stunning looks and movie star mother.

And now Andie MacDowell’s daughter Rainey Qualley is set to go global.

The 21-year-old aspiring actress and musician, whose dad is the Four Weddings star's ex husband  Paul Qualley, has been named Miss Golden Globe 2012.

She will assist during the prestigious awards ceremony which will place on January 15.

“I would like to thank the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for giving me this wonderful opportunity to serve as Miss Golden Globe 2012," Rainey told reporters during a news conference.

"I'm really looking forward to being a part of the awards presentation."

The role of Miss Golden Globe is traditionally given to the offspring of a celebrity.

Previous honourees include Demi Moore and Bruce Willis’s daughter Rumer, Laura Dern, Melanie Griffith and Joely Fisher.
