Brian McFadden air rage incident 'storm in a teacup'

Thursday February 17, 2011

Singer Brian McFadden has been questioned by police after an alleged incident on a Virgin flight.

Fellow passengers claimed the former Westlife singer, who was travelling from LA to Sydney, was drinking heavily and behaving abusively.

There were also reports that the Irish star lit up a cigarette during the flight.

Virgin cabin crew radioed the Australian Federal Police reporting an 'incident' and requested that officers meet the plane on landing.

The police stated that two men were interviewed and released without charge, adding that "no further action will be taken."

The 30-year-old has denied the allegations, calling it a "storm in a tea cup".

He took to Twitter to explain: "Wasn't arrested! Didn't smoke on the flight! I did have a few drinks but I was not smashed and abusive."
