It's been confirmed that Johnny Depp will star in Wes Anderson's new film The Grand Budapest Hotel.
It was reported earlier this month that the Moonrise Kingdom director had approached stars including Johnny, Jude Law and Angela Lansbury to appear in his next project.
Wes will write, direct and produce the new film, which he recently revealed he has finished writing and described as a "Euro movie".
The Darjeeling Limited director is also said to be interested in reuniting with previous collaborators Owen Wilson, Bill Murray, Edward Norton, Jeff Goldblum, Adrien Brody and Willem Dafoe.
Johnny, who recently split from long-term partner Vanessa Paradis, is currently filming The Lone Ranger for Disney. He stars as native American sidekick Tonto, alongside Armie Hammer as the Ranger in the film directed by Gore Verbinski. Preview scenes were unveiled to Comic-Con to a positive response.
Johnny will reportedly make The Grand Budapest Hotel his next film, with plans for him to star in The Thin Man for Rob Marshall having been pushed back.
Wes will next produce Peter Bogdanovich's indie comedy Squirrel To The Nuts, which stars Olivia Wilde and Owen Wilson.
