Clive Owen cancelled holiday for 'Shadow Dancer'

Friday August 17, 2012

Clive Owen has revealed that he cancelled his holiday in order to make new thriller Shadow Dancer.

Clive plays an MI5 agent in the film, which is an adaptation of Tom Bradby's novel set in during the Northern Irish troubles.

The married father-of-two admitted he didn't think he would take the job when he was sent the script, because he wanted to spend time with his family.

The Oscar-nominee has two daughters, Hannah and Eve with wife Sarah-Jane Fenton.

Clive, 47, said: "I hadn't read the book. To be honest I was looking to take a break.

But he added: "And then I read the script and I really loved it. And then I spoke at length to James [Marsh director] and he spoke so intelligently and smartly about it that I had to do it."
