PM consoles Diversity star who took a tumble at No 10

Thursday September 17, 2009

Britain's Got Talent winners Diversity were greeted with applause and excitement as they performed a street dance outside the Prime Minister's Downing Street residence on Wednesday.

And although they impressed with their high tumbles and group lifts, the routine crashed to a halt when 13-year-old Perri Luc Kiely was dropped from 12ft after a backflip went wrong.

As the youngster landed on his bottom with a thump Prime Minister Gordon Brown was among the onlookers who came rushing to his aid.

A spokesperson later confirmed Perri Luc was "absolutely fine, just a bit shocked".

The group of 11 dancers from East London and Essex were at the residence to celebrate the second anniversary of the Prime Minister's Talent and Enterprise Taskforce.

And it was a celebrity-filled day at Downing Street, as pregnant Zoe Ball and marathon runner Eddie Izzard also popped in to discuss pressing issues.
