Monday October 17, 2011

The formula made famous by Marilyn Monroe is already legendary: a curvy blonde plus a former president equals a show-stopping moment.

Now, Lady Gaga has emulated the iconic actress cooing "Happy birthday Mr President..." to John F Kennedy, with her own rendition for Bill Clinton.

The Born This Way star was one several artists who performed at a concert celebrating the 10th anniversary of Mr Clinton's foundation.

Emerging from an white tree house, Lady Gaga channelled Marilyn with a wavy blond hairdo and blood red lips reminiscent of that magical moment in 1962.

The eccentric singer serenaded the former president by changing several of her lyrics to reference him, most notably switching the title of Bad Romance for Bill Romance.

Always one to provoke reactions, the Lady will be pleased to know that this particular show hit its target audience.

"I thought 'My God. I get Lady Gaga, and I will have a heart attack celebrating my 65th birthday ' ," the statesman said after her performance.

Mr Clinton, who was celebrating recently turning 65, was joined by wife Hillary and daughter Chelsea.
