Cheryl Cole's wardrobe auction raises £48,000

Monday July 18, 2011

Cheryl Cole has used her famous name to raise thousands of pounds for charity.

She teamed up with retailer ASOS to auction off 20 outfits in a bid to raise funds for her charity, the Cheryl Cole Foundation.

And the venture was very successful, with £48,000 collected during the two weeks sales, and an additional £10,000 donated by the ASOS Foundation.

Ensembles included personally selected pieces from the Geordie songstress’s wardrobe, some of which are iconic looks from her career.

They included a plunging Roberto Cavalli dress and a Philip Lim multi-colour playsuit she wore on the X Factor.

Also under the hammer were three Herve Leger bandage dresses.

The money will be donated in full to the Cheryl Cole Foundation and distributed by The Prince’s Trust to projects in the North East.
