Lily Allen denies Lucy In Disguise closure reports

Monday July 18, 2011

It was recently reported that Lily Allen's vintage clothing store, Lucy In Disguise, had been forced to close.

However, pregnant Lily - who showed off her baby bump in a starry D&G dress at the polo on Sunday - took to Twitter to respond to the rumours.

“Lucy in Disguise has NOT closed, it has moved to a temporary pop up on Lowndes St, before we move to our permanent premises,” she said.

The reasons for the move are not yet known. A spokesman for the store - which Lily set up with her sister Sarah Owen - said: “We cannot comment until the new store is open.”

The siblings’ foray into retail was documented in Channel 4’s From Riches To Rags.

In the programme, retail guru Mary Portas voiced her concern that the concept – renting out designer vintage clothing – was flawed.
