Gerard Butler is slugging it out for a new film role about notorious bare-knuckle boxer Lenny McLean.
The Scottish star tops a wish list drawn up by the film's producers as the ideal actor to portray the Eastender in a biopic of his life.
Lenny was often described as "Britain's hardest man" and known as "the Guv'nor".
Action man Jason Statham and X-Men: First Class star Michael Fassbender are also included on the list, said The Hollywood Reporter.
Based on Peter Gerrard's book The Guv'nor Tapes and written by Paul Van Carter with Lenny's nephew Martin Askew, the film has a working title of The Guv'nor.
ProducerJustin Marciano said: "McLean's story typifies the sheer brutality of growing up in the East End of London through the post-War years.
"But it is also the journey of a man who finds redemption through the hellish world of bare-knuckle fighting."
The script follows "his violent and notorious life from his humble beginnings in Hoxton, East London to boxer, bouncer, bare-knuckle fighter, actor, accused murderer and family man".
