Mario Testino sets sights on Kate Middleton shoot

Wednesday November 18, 2009

Royal watchers have been keen to learn more about Kate Middleton since her romance with Prince William started.

And if Mario Testino gets his way, the public will be treated to a further insight into the brunette beauty's world.

The photographer, whose sitters have included Princess Diana, Baroness Thatcher and Kate Moss, says he "would love to photograph Kate".

"But with some people it's hard to find a time when you are both free to organise it. I haven't managed to pin her down yet," he says.

The world-renowned snapper is also eyeing up the opportunity to feature the Queen in a future shoot.

"When I first came to London 32 years ago, I never expected to do even one royal - so I was shocked when I got my chance with Diana.

"I've done five front covers for Vogue in my career and I think it would be great to photograph the Queen."
