New Boyzone single to feature Stephen Gately vocals

Tuesday January 19, 2010

Reunited Boyzone are releasing a new single and album featuring the vocals of their late band member, Stephen Gately.

Gave It All Away - the band's first track since Stephen's death in October - was recorded in the summer of 2009, following Boyzone's sell-out UK tour.

"I will learn to live before I die" is the opening line of the piece, sung by 33-year-old Stephen.

The video to accompany the single is "incredibly raw" says lead vocalist Ronan Keating.

"There's a nice scene of us four 'brothers' sat around a table ... with Stephen's favourite picture hanging up behind us," he reveals.

"It's us reminiscing about the good times and the laughter."

"We wanted the footage to be as truthful and honest as possible based on how we were feeling and were reacting during the making of the video on that day."

The Irish group is releasing Gave It All Away on March 1, with their first album in ten years, Brother, due to follow a week later.
