Sunny Caribbean break for Kate, Pippa and family

The Duchess of Cambridge is reportedly on a luxury Caribbean holiday with the entire Middleton clan.

Passengers on a British Airways flight to the island of St Lucia were surprised to see the world's most talked-about royal seated in first class.

Kate, her parents, sister Pippa and brother James were thought to be on their way to Mustique, their favourite hideaway.

The family has been going there for years.

Such is their affection for the isle colourful local bar owner Basil Charles was invited to the royal wedding.

The trip may have been a joint birthday celebration. On January 9 Kate turned 30, while her mum Carole is 57 at the end of the month.

Prince William, a search and rescue pilot, is thought to have stayed behind at his base in Anglesey.
