The Queen, who is celebrating her birthday on April 21, will mark the day in explosive style.
A traditional 21-gun salute will thunder through Windsor as the monarch celebrates her 86th in her Jubilee year.
The salute will take place at The Long Walk near Windsor Castle, with the first cannon being fired on the stroke of noon.
Behind closed doors, Her Majesty's official birthday will be a private affair, shared with senior members of the royal family.
Meanwhile, Jubilee fever is beginnning to grip the nation.
On Thursday evening, Buckingham Palace was spectacularly lit up with colourful images of the sovereign beamed onto its facade (pictured).
