Strictly star Ann Widdecombe does a disappearing act

Wednesday October 20, 2010

From the Salsa to the Samba, Strictly Come Dancing contestants certainly have their work cut out mastering the moves.

One big advantage of all that dancing is the impact it has on fitness – most of the celebs who have competed on the show have been left trim and toned by the end of the series.

And this year, one lady already seems to be benefitting from such an intense workout - Ann Widdecombe.

The 63-year-old former politician, who has fast become a favourite on the show, is working hard to win over the judges with her weekly routines, and she seems to be reaping the rewards physically.

This weekend will see contestants attempt to dance either the Tango or the Charleston.

But there is one dance Ann, partnered with Anton du Beke, is holding out for.

Referring to a Spanish dance style that imitates bullfighting, Ann said: "Well I want to last long enough to do the Paso Doble, because I fancy being a cape!"
