Donny Osmond gives One Direction lessons about fame

Monday January 21, 2013

Once part of the Osmondmania whirlwind, Donny Osmond is the perfect candidate to give One Direction advice about dealing with a global fan base.

The former teen idol, who shot to fame in the 1970's, has told Niall, Zayn, Harry, Liam and Louis to enjoy their career whilst it lasts.

"It's no secret that I lost my career in the Eighties so I worked very hard to get it back. I was watching One Direction recently and I hope they appreciate everything they have in their career."

"It's not going to last forever. We all know that. It can't," added the singer.

Donny also had words of wisdom for another star, saying: "I hope Justin Bieber is loving every moment of his career. That level just can't be sustained.

"No matter how great your music is, the attention span of the public is that of a gnat, and it's getting shorter and shorter."
