Andy Murray showed off a racket bag emblazoned with messages of support as he stepped out for his debut on centre court at Wimbledon on Monday.
And the bag, covered in fans’ tweets, might have come in handy as he dropped the first set to Daniel Gimeno-Traver.
But the British No 1 swiftly recovered, pulling the game back and eventually winning three sets to one.
The 24-year-old said: “I’ve seen guys have slogans on their rackets or on their bags before.
“We ran a competition online to get the best ones to put on my stuff.
“It’s the kind of thing that can inspire you when you need it.”
The slogans include 'Believe in yourself' and 'We are all behind you'.
