Swimming champion Sharron Davies splits from third husband

Former Olympic swimmer Sharron Davies has separated from her husband Tony Kingston.

British Airways captain Tony, who wed Sharron in 2002, moved out of the couple's shared home in the Cotswolds six months ago, the Telegraph reports. 

The couple, who dated for thee years before tying the knot, have a two-year-old son called Finlay together.

"The truth is they just drifted apart," a friend told the newspaper. "Sharron has received lots if offers for TV work, but that has become an issue between her and Tony."

"She is very keen to pursue her career, especially with the 2012 Olympics around the corner."

Sharron, who won silver in the 1980 Moscow Olympics, is mum to two other children, Grace, 11, and 15-year-old Elliot with her second husband, former Olympic sprinter Derek Redmond. 

Her first marriage was to health club manager Jon Crisp.

Friends insist she is on good terms with Tony and that they have no immediate plans to divorce.
