Breast Cancer Run to take over Richmond Park

Friday August 22, 2014

On Saturday 18 October female runners of all abilities can feel good for a charitable cause and participate in the Breast Cancer Care Women Only Run, taking place in London's Richmond Park.

With entry from just £15 this is a chance for runners to raise money for Breast Cancer Care and help the life changing work carried out by their team, who work with many of the 50,000 UK residents a year diagnosed with breast cancer and their families.

The event, with distances of 5, 10 and 15km available to accommodate varying fitness levels, offers a unique opportunity to run on the closed roads of London's largest Royal Park in a friendly and supportive all-female environment.

Melanie C, Spice Girl and Women Only Series ambassador has said "It is important women feel comfortable to try something new, challenge themselves and achieve goals. I think for women it is a wonderful thing to support each other and enjoy it. Exercise builds self-confidence and a healthier lifestyle".

Buggies are also welcome on the day and mothers can select the 'run with your buggy' option on the Breast Cancer Care Women Only Run booking page.
