Benedict Cumberbatch announces new film project

Tuesday October 22, 2013

Benedict Cumberbatch is to star in gritty new independent film titled Little Favour.

It tells the story of ex-military man Wallace, played by Benedict, who agrees to help out his old comrade, but soon discovers it may be more than just a favour.

The film was made on a budget of £86,240 which was raised through the modern approach of crowd fundraising; this method raises money through the support of individuals.

As part of the rewards initiative, some funders will enjoy the chance to see the finished film at a private UK premiere event in central London along with the cast and filmmakers.

Speaking about the project, Benedict said: "I'm really proud to be a part of Little Favour.

"Not only because the results of the work we all put in are fantastic, but mostly because we all came together out of sheer goodwill and generosity for a cause we believe in!"

Little Favour will go on to screen at the Leeds International Film Festival competition, as a contender in the Best of British Short Film Category on Thursday 21 November, and will be available to download on iTunes from 5 November.
