'The Voice' judges whittle down acts to final 20

Monday April 23, 2012

Viewers of BBC One's The Voice have seen judges Jessie J, Sir Tom Jones, Will.I.Am and Danny O’Donaghue choose the final 20 acts to take part in the live stages of the contest.

There has been disappointment amongst viewers after some well-known faces were axed during the “battle stage” of the show.

Each of the judges had to choose half of their team to go forward, and the rest were axed from the show.

During the two 90-minute shows there were tears and heartache as contestants saw their dreams dashed, and the coaches were in turmoil with their choices.

Next Saturday viewers begin to have their say as the public vote begins, whittling away one member from each of the coaches' teams of five.
