Catherine's pride over Buckingham Palace honour

Thursday February 24, 2011

Traffic and Chicago star Catherine Zeta-Jones beams as she is made a CBE by the Prince of Wales.

The Oscar-winner was accompanied by her husband Michael Douglas – looking thin but in good health after his battle with throat cancer – and their children.

Prince Charles would have been happy to see the family.

Last time they met, at the Ryder Cup, during Michael's treatment he had words of comfort for the actress.

When her honour was announced last year Catherine was delighted.

"I am absolutely thrilled with this honour. As a British subject, I feel incredibly proud, at the same time it is overwhelming and humbling."

She added: "And my mum and dad are delighted beyond belief."
