"This is the greatest day of our lives," 15-time Grand Slam winner Roger Federer posted on his website after announcing the news he has become a father.
The Swissman's wife Mirka, who was heavily pregnant as she supported him from the sidelines at the All England Club, gave birth to their twins on Thursday evening.
The two little girls, who are the couple's first children, have been named Charlene Riva and Myla Rose.
"They are both healthy and along with their mother they are doing great," the tennis star posted.
It tops off a summer of celebrations for Roger, who entered the record books when he took the title at Wimbledon earlier this month.
