Elizabeth Hurley's dogs ill from suspected poisoning

Elizabeth Hurley has been left shaken since discovering two of her dogs seriously ill as the result of a suspected poisoning.

Upon her return from Australia, with fiancé Shane Warne, Elizabeth found Raja (pictured) and Lucy, two of her Labrador dogs, unwell prompting her to Tweet:

"Home Sweet Home. Wonderful to be back but two of my dogs have been seriously ill for the last 48 hours. Vet thinks poison. Horrific."

The bikini designer updated her followers later with the news that: "Lucy, the chocolate lab, was hit the worst. She still has bandaged legs where the drip went it. Lots of cuddles…"

On Friday morning she said "Raja-the big lab-seems much stronger today. Lucy, still frail. Thank you so much for all your concern and nice comments."

No doubt the Gossip Girl actress will keep fans up-to-date with news about the two dogs' condition.

Forty-seven-year-old Elizabeth is devoted to her canine clan, which is made up of Labradors and a Spaniel and enjoys taking them for a run in the countryside around her Gloucestershire home.

In December Elizabeth added playful puppy Mia to her doggy family and the two have been enjoying the recent snowfall together: "The farm looks beautiful in the snow" she tweeted "I had a snowball fight with puppy Mia. She kept eating them, though....."
