Tom Jones take The Voice semi-finalists busking

Thursday March 27, 2014

Tourists in Covent Garden had an unusual surprise on Wednesday as Tom Jones started busking.

The Welsh crooner was teaching his The Voice semi-finalists, Sally Barker and Bizzi Dixon, how to perform for a live crowd as they sang some of his biggest hits including Kiss and It’s Not Unusual.

Spectators reportedly started chanting "Team Tom, Team Tom" as Sally picked up her acoustic guitar to join Tom and Bizzi in one of London’s busiest tourist spots.

The Voice semi-finals air this weekend on BBC, as mentors Kylie Minogue, Ricky Wilson and, along with Tom, all watch as their semi-finalists are whittled down to just four.

Tom, who has been a judge on all four seasons of the hit reality show, recently spoke out on speculation that Kylie will be leving after just one series.

"It works how it is right now," he told the Mirror. "With the four of us, I think it's a good combination. It's working now, so why spoil it. Why change it?"
