Farrah Fawcett leaves £3.65 million fortune to troubled son

Monday July 27, 2009

Late Charlie's Angels star Farrah Fawcett has left the majority of her estate to her jailed son Redmond, who is being held in an LA prison on drugs charges.

The actress, who died in June at the age of 62 following a battle with cancer, assigned nothing to his father, her long-term love Ryan O'Neal.

In the will, written in 2007, Farrah asked that her son’s inheritance be placed in a trust fund controlled by two executors.

They have instructions to give him a monthly allowance and money to buy his own home.

Twenty-four-year-old Redmond was allowed to attend his mother's funeral last month.

It was at this memorial service that a poignant final letter from the actress was read out to him.

In it she described being his mother as "the greatest gift of my life".
