Monday March 28, 2011

He's been the bookies' favourite to win since the show started.

And Sam Attwater was crowned this year's Dancing on Ice winner at the weekend.

The former EastEnders actor - who chose a Spanish Bolero dance for the finale - narrowly beat TV presenters Laura Hamilton and Chloe Madeley to the coveted trophy.

The 24-year-old credited dancing partner 29-year-old Brianne Delcourt for his victory.

As he lifted the trophy he said: "I've had the time of my life. I've made a friend for life and I wouldn't be here now if it wasn't for Brianne."

The three finalists will be reunited on the ice for the show's live tour in Sheffield on April 9.
