Bruce Oldfield: 'I am not designing the dress'

Thursday April 28, 2011

Bruce Oldfield has flatly denied speculation that he has created Kate Middleton's wedding dress.

Talking to Vogue, the couture designer – who was a favourite of Diana's - quashed the rumours once and for all.

"It's been such a subject of rumour and speculation over the past months, but I am not designing it," he said.

"We will all know tomorrow – and I thought I'd duck out of the 'possibles list' to give everyone 24 hours to place their final bets!"

Despite not being involved, Bruce is confident the future Princess will shine on her big day.

"Catherine will undoubtedly look spectacular," he said.

"She has a fantastic figure and knows well what suits her. I shall be intrigued to see her choice of design."
