Brad and Angelina survey new Sydney hometown

Thursday March 29, 2012

Sydney's Tower Eye – the city's highest viewing point – was the perfect place for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie to survey their new home town.

But a closer look at the couple, who were all glammed up for the occasion, reveals them to be waxworks.

The lifelike figures were unveiled this week ahead of the opening of the Aussie city's new Madame Tussauds.

Spokeswoman Kristy Enright said she was expecting Angelina's other half to be very popular with the ladies.

"They can come right up to Brad, they can give him a kiss," she said.

It takes 800 hours and 16 of Madame Tussauds sculptors to make one waxwork, and the bill comes in at over £140,000.

Four wax artists travelled from the museum's base in London to deliver the installations for the new Sydney franchise, due to open in the Easter school holidays.
