Move back to sunny LA costs Robbie Williams £1m

Thursday October 29, 2009

It seems the cold weather in Britain has become too much for Robbie Williams, who recently came home after five years in America.

The Let Me Entertain You singer is in the throws of selling a country mansion in Wiltshire that originally cost £8.5 million.

He plans to offload the property in time to spend Christmas in LA.

A quick sell will come at a price, though, as the 35-year-old has been forced to knock £1m off the asking price.

"Robbie is desperate to get things moving quickly rather than hang around just to get a bit more money," a source close to the singer told the Sun.

The decision was also influenced by his desire to get back to long-term girlfriend American actress Ayda Field.

"Being settled back in the States quickly with Ayda is more important to him," reveals the source.

The couple had planned to raise a family in the seven-bedroom home, which boasts a helicopter landing pad.

But upon reflection they decided the LA heat suited them better.
