Kelly Brook back on TV to play herself in zombie drama spoof

Model and TV presenter Kelly Brook is dipping her toe back into the acting world. The brunette beauty will soon be back on the small screen, playing a fictional version of herself in the new series of quirky comedy Moving Wallpaper.

The second run of the show picks up where series one left off, with hapless TV executive Jonathan Pope - played by comedian Ben Miller – facing unemployment after the soap he conceptualised is axed. He saves the day by coming up with a new idea - a one-off zombie thriller to be headed by Kelly and Ugly Betty actor Alan Dale.

Kelly had fun spoofing herself in the Extras-style series, which begins on ITV1 on February 27. "She completely over-analyses everything and is constantly questioning the writers' motives," she says of the show's Kelly.

When asked about the similarities between his onscreen character and his real persona, former Neighbours star Alan quipped: "Well he has the same name as me, is as good looking as me, but I don't know whether I would do or say the things he does."
