There will be no shortage of potential godmothers for David and Victoria Beckham's new arrival.
Spice Girls Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm and Melanie Brown (seen in 2008) have been among the first to offer their congratulations to their former band mate Posh as news of her pregnancy surfaced.
"Absolutely thrilled to hear your news, lots of love to you all xxx" new mum Mel C tweeted on Victoria's Twitter page, while Dancing On Ice's Emma, who is herself expecting her second baby, posted "Yeah!!! It's such brilliant news".
Mother-of-two Mel B also tweeted her "congrats" – only Geri Halliwell, who does not have a Twitter account didn't get in on the act.
Following confirmation by her husband, Victoria, 36, also took to Twitter to thank fans for their support.
"Thank u so much for you kind and beautiful messages!!!," she wrote. "We are all so happy and very excited!!!! X vb x"
David and Victoria, who wed in 1999, will no doubt have high hopes that their new addition will be a girl. They are already to parents to three boys, 11-year-old Brooklyn, Romeo, eight and Cruz, five.
But they have reportedly decided not to find out the sex of the baby before it arrives in the summer.
David was snapped giving a thumbs-up to photographers as he left Tottenham Hotspurs training ground on Monday having already shared details of the pregnancy on his Facebook page.
"I've got great news to tell you, Victoria and I are expecting a fourth child this summer," he told his fans.
"The boys are very excited about the arrival of their new brother or sister."
