The romantic trip had perhaps not been quite as she had anticipated. The model and her cricket star love were pursued by news crews wherever they went, at one point requiring a police escort. And Valentine's Day must have been soured slightly when allegations surfaced that Shane recently spent a night with an adult movie star after exchanging racy texts with her.The very day the stories appeared, Elizabeth hinted things may have gone awry with the message she posted on her Twitter account. "Happy Valentine's Day! Remember, love is like a rollercoaster ride- sometimes it's exhilarating but sometimes u (sic) feel sick and want to get off," she wrote. The day before the couple had held hands as they headed to a wedding, where they made their public debut as a couple.

But it was a very different story as Shane dropped the 45-year-old model off at the airport, where they said their goodbyes. Local reporter Peter Ford observed: "There was no kissing, or smooching or emotional farewell scenes". Upon her arrival back on her Gloucestershire farm, Elizabeth was straight back on Twitter. But unlike before when the pair communicated continually via the social networking site there was no mention of, or message for the 41-year-old sportsman. "Home Sweet Home.....family, dogs and parrot ecstatic," she tweeted. What becomes of the pair's romance remains to be seen. They've already split once, back in December, when Shane admitted to sending racy texts to another woman. At the time, he apologised through Twitter, saying: "We all are childish, immature at times. It's about how you bounce back when things are tough."
