How Kate ditched the bad boys for a rocker with a model recordThe engagement: Hardly a month went by without claims that Kate Moss and her guitarist love Jamie Hince were engaged. But after a lifetime spent as the subject of lurid headlines, the covergirl wanted to keep her love life private, and refused to comment on these reports.

In fact, the model kept a steadfast silence on the man she began dating quietly in 2007 after being introduced at one of his concerts.Earlier this year, however, Kate appeared with an impressive sparkler on her finger in Paris. There was no confirmation of an engagement, but the ring seemed to do the talking.Jamie apparently surprised his girlfriend with a proposal on her 37th birthday back in January. The dress: Rumour has it that Kate's close friend John Galliano was originally lined up to create her bridal look. But following his fall from grace she is said to have hired Alexis Roche, Galliano's long-term partner and a former Dior fashion consultant. The ceremony: Mystery surrounds the exact nature of the celebration, though one thing is certain - with the couple's starry circle, scores of famous guests will toast their union. They are apparently planning a mini Glastonbury for the wedding party in the garden of her ten-bedroom Cotswalds mansion. Over three days of festivities there are rumoured to be performances from Kanye West, Beth Ditto, Kings of Leon, Foo Fighters and Snoop Dogg.

With weeks to go before the big day, invitees were told that the date of the wedding had been put back a day to July 1.The exclusive guest list will almost certainly include Naomi Campbell, Stella McCartney, Sadie Frost, Jude Law and publisher Jefferson Hack, the father of Kate's eight-year-old daughter Lila Grace. And capturing the magic will be photographer Mario Testino, who sparked the rumours by telling The Daily, the New York-based iPad-only newspaper, he wants to "capture the happiness that Kate is going through at the moment."
