Pop star Una Healy of The Saturdays has spoken of her delight at discovering she is expecting a baby girl. The 30-year-old Irish beauty and her England rugby star boyfriend Ben Foden reveal the news in this week’s HELLO!. They found out the sex of their first child, which is due in March, at Una’s 20-week scan last week. Una told the magazine: "I come from a family of girls, I went to an all-girls school and I’m in a girl band, so I guess it’s fitting that I'm having a daughter." Ben added: "I am delighted."

In their first joint interview and photo shoot since the pregnancy was announced, the couple admit finding out they're going to be parents came as a surprise. "We weren’t trying for a baby," says Ben, 26. "But we'd talked about starting a family and we're in a loving and committed relationship, so it wasn't a massive shock. I was over the moon. I plan on spending the rest of my life with Una. "Una, who starts a UK tour with The Saturdays next month, insists the fact that she's a mum-to-be won't stop her from doing the same dance moves as her band mates. "I've been quite surprised that people have said, 'How will you do this tour?' Naturally I'll be careful and I'd never do anything that would put our baby at risk. But I’m pregnant, not ill. Loads of women continue to work through their pregnancies and this is my job, so why wouldn’t I carry on doing what I love – especially when I feel so well. "She reveals that a tailor who specialises in adapting clothes for pregnant women will be present on the tour to ensure her outfits fit her properly – but that she will swap towering heels for “sensible shoes", after a fall a few weeks back left her "panicked".

The couple first suspected Una might be expecting whilst on holiday in Barbados in July. Shortly afterwards, they attended the wedding of Ben's England team mate Mike Tindall to Zara Phillips.Una tells how she had to lie about why she was avoiding alcohol, as it was too early to reveal the pregnancy. "I had to lie and say I had tonsillitis, which was clearly untrue as I was chatting away. I felt awful about that. "As for their own marriage plans, Ben says of reports earlier this year that he was on the verge of proposing. "It will be a special moment between the two of us.
