Chris Hemsworth has opened up about his role as a father, saying "it's the best". The father-of-three, who is married to Spanish actress Elsa Pataky, also revealed that he has found being a parent "refreshing". "I think it makes you less selfish, because it's no longer about you," Chris told E! News. "It can't be. It's about someone else, which is refreshing. It's nice to not spend all your time thinking about your own problems and garbage up there and I just have so much fun doing it. It's the best. "And now I'm a bit more choosy, I think, with when I work and how I work because it better be worthwhile to take me away from them."

Chris Hemsworth has said he finds being a father "refreshing"

Chris and his wife are parents to two-year-old daughter India and nine-month-old twins Tristan and Sasha. Despite their young age, the actor said he noticed strong character traits in his children from the moment they were born. "My daughter is full energy, like my wife and I, and strong minded and has an opinion, like we do. And my boys, one's a bit more calm and chill and the other is much more sensitive to things.

"You see this right away, when they're first born. One cried, one didn't, with the boys." Chris previously revealed that he wants his children to grow up in his home country of Australia. Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, he said: "We're spending more and more time back in Australia and I definitely want the kids to grow up here and spend time here. "We were in California a lot. I missed it here and my wife missed it too so that was our goal to get back here."
