Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale settle divorce

After filing for divorce over the summer, Gwen Stefani has reached an agreement with her estranged husband Gavin Rossdale. The Hollaback Girl singer and the British rocker were married for almost 13 years, but have been together for 20.

According to TMZ, Gwen and Gavin will have joint physical custody of their three sons – Kingston, nine, Zuma, seven, and baby Apollo. The children will most likely spend more time with their father though, because of Gwen's busy touring schedule.

A source added that Gwen, 46, and Gavin, 49, did not have a prenup. Californian law states that the couple are entitled to equal shares of their assets, but Gavin has agreed to take far less than his 50 per cent portion, presumably to reach a quick settlement.

A judge is expected to sign the final divorce papers by the end of the year.

Gwen and Gavin announced that they were ending their marriage in August. The No Doubt star ex cited irreconcilable differences in court documents.

"While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment," they wrote.

"To that end, we respectfully request privacy from the media during this time."

The pair first met when their bands toured together in 1995, and dated for six years before they were married in 2002. They were due to celebrate their 13 year wedding anniversary on 14 September.

Last week Gwen debuted her heartbreaking new single Used to Love You to a New York crowd. The song features lyrics such as "I guess nobody taught you how to love" and "You go, I'll stay, you can keep all the memories."
