The Middletons in high spirits as they join Duchess of Cornwall at Wimbledon

The Duchess of Cornwall was in very good company as she stepped out for day four of Wimbledon on Thursday. Prince Charles' wife was joined in the royal box by Carole Middleton and her husband Michael as the trio prepared for an exciting day of tennis on centre court.

Camilla was in high spirits as she arrived for the tournament. She gave a big smile and waved to the crowds as she made her way to her seat, accompanied by Philip Brook, Chairman of the All England Lawn Tennis Club. The Duchess opted for a white jacket worn over a polka dot dress for her day out at the tennis – a look also favoured by Carole.

Coincidentally, the Duchess of Cambridge's mother chose a spotty dress for her Wimbledon outing too, which she teamed with a light blue jacket and nude heels. Fans might well recognise the frock; Carole wore the £250 Jaegar silk number to grandson Prince George's first birthday party in July 2014.

Carole and Michael aren't the first Middletons to make an appearance at Wimbledon this year. Both Pippa and James Middleton stepped out for the opening day of the Championships on Monday, with Pippa scoring high in the style stakes in a £1,200 poppy print dress.

Carole and Michael Middleton were also in attendance on day four of the tournament

The whole Middleton family are keen tennis fans, and are expected to make a number of courtside appearances throughout the competition. Of course, royal fans will of course also be hoping to catch a glimpse of Duchess Kate.

In 2015 Kate attended the Wimbledon quarter finals alongside Prince William, just weeks after welcoming her daughter Princess Charlotte. The Duchess is almost certain to attend in the next two weeks - it's thought she might be announced as patron of the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club when the Queen takes a step back after 64 years.
