Mel C has said that she feels for Louis Tomlinson following his arrest at LAX airport on Friday. The 43-year-old singer, who experienced worldwide fame with the Spice Girls, was asked about Louis' altercation with a photographer and a female fan during her appearance on Good Morning Britain on Monday. Of her own run-ins with the paparazzi, Mel admitted: "It's actually, it can be quite traumatic, you know. That sounds a little bit overdramatic, but there are times – and I should imagine with Louis and what the boys have been through – that, you know, they have been at the height of their success and they are constantly pursued."

Mel C said she sympathised with Louis Tomlinson following his arrest at the weekend

Louis, 25, was filmed confronting a photographer as he walked through LAX Airport on Saturday, before rushing to help girlfriend Eleanor Calder, who appeared to be being accosted by a female fan. Melanie continued: "I think you come into an environment like that and it's quite frenzied and it's quite chaotic, and you have a fight or flight response some times. I know it was a very long time since I've been in that situation, but I had one time many years ago, it was towards the end of my time with the Spice Girls, and I was pursued in a car. And I actually ended up hitting another car because you don't think. You're not in a sensible frame of mind. You are in the fight or flight response, so I really feel for Louis."
