Her latest film is about a royal who renounced his throne – but the Queen of Pop isn't planning to give hers up any time soon. Madonna, 53, has just signed a three-album deal with Universal's Interscope Records potentially allowing her to produce fresh music well into her 60s. In 2008, the superstar left Warner Brothers label, which had been her musical home for nearly 30 years.

But it's upwards and onwards for the pop veteran whose manager Guy Oseary said: "We anticipate a very bright future at our new home".  The latest signing is the catalyst for what will be a dazzling 2012 for Madonna and her fans. There will be a new album which will include collaborations with some of music's hottest properties, including M.I.A and Nicki Minaj.
