Loving girlfriend Shakira was out in force to support her footballer boyfriend, Gerard Piqué, as he played for his national side during a match on Thursday night.

The Whenever Wherever singer was spotted cheering from the stands in Fortaleza, Brazil, as Gerard and his team mates propelled Spain to victory in the FIFA Confederations Cup' semi final against Italy.

Shakira, 36, who has five-month-old son Milan with Gerard, sported a printed black and white dress for the game and wore her golden, curly locks loose.

The Spanish supporters cheered from the crowd whenever Shakira appeared on the big screen from the VIP area.

With Spain now the favourites to win the cup when they face the host nation Brazil on Sunday, fans of the Colombian singer will hope to see her in the stands, perhaps with baby Milan, supporting Gerard once again.

Proud mum Shakira posted a photograph of her family in honour of Father's Day.

For his first Father's Day as a dad, Shakira decided to mark the occasion for her boyfriend Gerard with a touching tribute. The singer posted a beautiful family portrait on her Facebook page to celebrate the date.

The picture showed Shakira and Gerard holding their four-month-old son Milan, with an accompanying message written in Spanish that read, "Happy Father's Day!! We love you! Your family.

"In the image, the blonde star can be seen propping up her young son, while Gerard, 26, holds the youngster's hand. The little boy, who has inherited his mother's big brown eyes, looks adorable in a 'DJ Sleep-a-lot' babygro.

Gerard Pique

The Voice US judge recently spoke to People magazine about what Gerard has been like as a dad. "Thank God (Milan's) father has been really involved," she said. "He's been amazing. The baby spends as much time with me as he does with his dad."

He's the kind of dad who is full hands-on. He changes diapers; he enjoys bathing him. That's a real help for me."

It was football that brought the pair together back in Spring 2010, when he appeared in Shakira's music video for Waka Waka (This Time for Africa), the official World Cup song.

She officially confirmed their romance in March 2011 on Twitter, posting a picture of the two of them with the caption, "I present to you my sunshine."

In September 2012, Shakira and Gerard confirmed they were expecting their first child together, and welcomed Milan Piqué Mebarak on 22nd January 2013, in Barcelona, where the family resides.
