Father-to-be Simon Cowell has shared a tender moment with a little boy who he imagined to be like the son that he will soon have.On Wednesday's X Factor, contestant Jeff Gutt's son ran on stage after his performance to give his dad – who had just won a vote a confidence from the judges – a congratulatory hug. "It's so good to see you again," said a delighted Demi Lovato, who knew the adorable little boy from his dad's efforts on the show's second season.

"I know," replied with child, with astounding confidence.

Music mogul obviously saw something of himself in Jeff's son. "That must be my son," said the stunned millionaire. "Daddy did good," said Simon, visibly impressed with the young man, to which he replied cockily, "I'll say.""That must be my son," Simon, who is expecting the arrival of his own son next year, repeated once more, gazing fondly at the little boy.

Simon's unborn first child is with 36-year-old socialite Lauren Silverman, the former wife of the 53-year-old's good friend Andrew. The two were spotted leaving a New York hotel on Wednesday, when Lauren's blossoming baby bump was clearly on show under a tight white top and black leggings. According to the X Factor boss, his son will have to work as hard as he did to succeed to in life, as he will be donating his money to a good cause. "I'm going to leave my money to a charity probably — kids and dogs," he told Esquire magazine.
