Lena Dunham partied with Taylor Swift on Saturday night to celebrate her successful turn hosting Saturday Night Live for the first time, but the Girls star was soon in trouble for tweeting an ill-judged molestation joke.

"Please tell that to my uncle, mister. He's been making me!" she tweeted to a fan who asked why Lena felt the need to always be naked.

The tweet led to negative reactions and the controversial actress deleted the tweet, following it up with, "I just made and deleted a not so great molestation joke. Sorry guys. I am really sleepy."

She continued: "SNL has a way bigger audience than our usual cozy girls audience, so I was seeing a rash of very different kinds of twitter rage," before adding: "But I should know better, and do. Even naked girls get embarrassed. Sleep well and thanks for an amazing weekend."

Also partying on Saturday with Lena and Taylor were Mean Girls stars Daniel Franseze and Rajiv Surendra, with Daniel posting several Instagram pictures featuring Lena and Taylor.

"Live from New York it's the @nbcsnl after party with @girlshbo star @lenadunham and #meangirls homie #RajivSurendra and me @whatsupdanny!" tweeted Danny, the first of many throughout the night.
