As well as Dynasty, Kate also appeared in Benidorm, Doctors, Bad Girls and Absolutely Fabulous and played The Rani in the original run of Doctor Who alongside Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy.

In 2013, as Doctor Who celebrated its 50th anniversary, Kate told the Huffington Post that she would love to return to the Sci-Fi show. "I'd love to come back as The Rani another time around," she said. "To have a much older woman as your adversary, there's something interesting about that."
